They were not nice about it and after repeatedly telling them it was … Stay away from this model and brand. It quit working within 2 weeks of install. After twice spending over an hour with tech support, they would get it working and it would last a day. I called for the third time and they asked for a callback number and disconnected me after 45 minutes and didn’t call back. I called them back and they put me through a whole series of troubleshooting INCLUDING REMOVING THE COVER AND SOME WIRES! They were not nice about it and after repeatedly telling them it was obviously defective they finally caved and said they would send me email to return it AT MY EXPENSE and they will repair or replace. I am guessing replace with the same low quality product. They made me jump through hoops of troubleshooting. I will never buy Swann again. I have over $1100 into this with installation and I have spent as much time on the telephone with tech support as it has actually worked.

Flexible settings I have been exercising the dvr with 4 Swann cameras (1 ptz, 1 manual zoom/focus, 2 fixed dome). I needed some help getting smart phone access running with my IPCOP and other peculiarities of my network. The support was quick, patient, and useful. I can see all 4 cameras from anywhere on my phone. Their system lets me customize alerts and motion detection in great detail. I can also pan, tilt and zoom the ptz camera instantly from my phone or desktop. By using presets, I can easily put it back in position if I mess up the position. I can record video or still frames to my phone or desktop at any time from any camera. The motion alerts allow me to select which cameras will trigger recording due to motion. I can mask parts of each view to prevent waving branches, etc. from triggering false alerts. Sensitivity to motion can be set for each of 4 portions of the day (and can be different times and sensitivities for each camera). Each camera can send an email with a still frame…
